"CPD Credits" for CSATVB Symposia

Similar to 2008, the CSATVB will be accrediting its 2009 meeting through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). Accreditation by the RCPSC has the benefit of formally providing attendees with continuing professional development (CPD) credits, and specifically the number one category, therefore formally recognizing the educational benefits of attending the meeting. CPD is now a requirement by many professional groups, including the RCPSC, to keep their members updated on the latest pertinent scientific developments in their areas of practice and hence for recertification. The CSATVB will be able to issue CPD certificates detailing the number of credits received by the members based on the number of sessions attended. Hence, attendees will be required to register in and to evaluate the sessions they attend. These registrations and comments will be submitted to the CSATVB Education Committee to review and to issue certificates in a timely manner.
