Young Investigator Award

DESCRIPTION

These Trainee Awards recognize the scientific work of talented trainees (i.e. graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, MD students) who are either paid-up members of the Society or who have applied to join the Society. The winners are selected by a jury from eligibly submitted abstracts which are presented orally or as posters during the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Society. Supervisors are encouraged to support this program by sponsoring their students and by being a member of the society in good standing. The Society emphasizes the importance of these Trainee Awards as a mean of encouragement for trainees involved in research programs related to atherosclerosis, thrombosis and vascular biology.
